Her eyes fell a bit and she nodded. She nervously pushed a lock of green hair behind her pointed ear, only to smoothly conceal it again, as if the combined gesture was a long practiced habit. Yet her expression was a pleasant one as she looked up at him.

“Yes, well…I believe I did die. I’m not exactly sure how or why I’ve been returned to life…” she seemed confused and more than a bit curious about that, “But…I’m here.” A bright smile lit up her face.

He laughed. It wasn’t a full laugh, but more of a nervous low laugh. Half of a laugh actually, but the look on his face almost made it seem as if he had just dropped off the deep end. So Martel was dead, but for some unknown source she’s back to life. Like Anna. This is like. A nightmare. A beautiful nightmare.

No thoughts seem to go right in his head. So he did the most logical thing when it comes to dealing with stuff that you can’t handle. Run. And run did he do. He didn’t look back once. He just ran as fast as his legs could help him. It was in the Holy Grounds of Kharlan so he knew the place like the back of his hand. Martel, however;…..

Admittedly, the girl was dumbfounded. After overcoming an initial bit of shock and hurt, she glanced around, thoroughly unsure of where he’d gone. Her options were few: stay where she was and wait, or go find him. Well…it wasn’t like she hadn’t hiked half of her life anyway. 

So she started walking. Hopefully she’d run into him again. She giggled softly to herself, as he was more likely to run into her. When he was panicking, he was panicking.
